- We just installed a homemade drop-leaf table and some soft storage compartments on the inside of our van doors. These two new additions to the van will make living in a van easier because we'll have easy access to our cooking utensils. They will also make it possible for us to cook quick meals without having to pull out the big table.
The drop-leaf table project cost us $20, including the wood and hardware. The soft-storage compartments are made from a $9 canvas shoe organizer that we cut up into smaller pieces and screwed directly into the door.
