Rambling post on why we want to live in a van.

So a little more about us.

We are both hoping that we find ourselves and our old talents once we are no longer surrounded by all the distractions we have in our current life.

At the moment we have a Desktop PC each, a laptop each and I think another one or two that I need to "fix". Between us, we have 5 mobile phones. 2 in use, the other 3 for our games that we play. We also have a TV and a Playstation. I think there is a Gameboy hidden somewhere in a cupboard also.

I would like to get back into my crafting and sell my wears and my partner wants to write (she is so very talented and should be writing the blog instead of me ha ha)

It is hard working out where to start and I really want to get some of it done before we have the van. We need to trade in some of the electronics. We would like a Kobo or somesomething like it so we can shrink our book collection and stop trying to read from our phones in bed. Need to get 1 well rounded laptop each and get rid of all the others. We got the Desktops for our games as we are big gamers, or at least we use to be. The online gaming community that we use to find compfort in has become quite toxic and isnt filling the void for community like it use to.

We don't even have a van yet but the van and rv community has already reached out to us and giving us so much support and love. 

On the weekends we would like to start sorting though our things. I have picked up some overtime the last coupld of weekends and this long weekend is my birthday weekend so nothing is getting done just yet. Once overtime is over, each weekend I will set myself a goal and get stuck into it.

Anyone have some tips on letting go of stuff or how to get rid of electronics? Please leave your tips and ideas below.

A Shorter To Do List

Hi again wonderful wanderers. So today at work I got to thinking of some useful stuff I could be researching while we are still deciding what kind of RV we will get.

Stuff like how to set up the internet and the costs. I have see some some people with high range wifi antenna so I need to look into that.

Insurance, but I think we will need to wait until we know what size it will be and all that jazz. I have to renew my licence this week sometime so I will ask then.

Would like to see if there are any address options. Here in Canada we need to have a street address for our licence as they won't accept PO Box. I am from Australia and still not up to date with this kind of thing. We do have some family members and friends that would be ok with it, but I dont like to impose.

And lastly (for now) we need to start asking our family and friends if they have a mechanic they like and trust. Even if we are lucky enough to get a nice running motor we will still need to get it checked out and keep it serviced and I have had some bad rip off experiences with mechanics.

Information overload!

Well hi again. I was up way too late watching video's and reading blogs. That didn't stop me from waking up and watching more videos as soon as I woke up.

Knowing that we are really going to be doing this with in a year is both exciting and hella scary.

After talks with my wifey and watching some of the videos together, I now have a better idea on what direction we are heading. Hopefully this will help me sort out my thoughts and ideas a little more.

I am hoping to do some videos but I dont have the best gear and am deciding if I should just wait until we start going out looking at vans or do I do some vlog type videos and record the research side to expand or explain what I put up on the blog.

Oh dear I just went and added more things to think about to my list.
