Here are a few more options and ideas for making your own RV shower. I am putting some of my favourite ideas in this post for reference. I hope you find them useful aslo.

This is an interesting idea for heating your water and also some water storage.

Fridge Research: 001

Fridge research. We are looking for a fridge/freezer that we can put in a cupboard on a draw under the sink or something. Need too look into ventilation and such to see if it is safe. Also need to do more research on the different power outputs n what not. So much information and a tad confusing. We can do this!

Maybe a VW is too small for us?

We have been looking at a few Volkswagens, but this one has us thinking it might be too small.

On a serious note, there are so many VW to choose from.

• Panel van, a delivery van without side windows or rear seats.
• Double-door Panel Van, a delivery van without side windows or rear seats and cargo doors on both sides.
• High Roof Panel Van (German: Hochdach), a delivery van with raised roof.
• Kombi, from German: Kombinationskraftwagen (combination motor vehicle), with side windows and removable rear seats, both a passenger and a cargo vehicle combined.
• Bus, also called a Volkswagen Caravelle, a van with more comfortable interior reminiscent of passenger cars since the third generation.
• Lotação (share-taxi), a version exclusive to Brazil, with 6 front-hinged doors for the passenger area and 4 bench-seats, catering to the supplemental public transport segment. Available from 1960 to 1989, in both the split-window and "clipper" (fitted with the bay-window front panel) body styles.
• Samba-Bus, a van with skylight windows and cloth sunroof, first generation only, also known as a Deluxe Microbus. They were marketed for touring the Alps.
• Flatbed pickup truck, or Single Cab, also available with wider load bed.
• Crew cab pick-up, a flatbed truck with extended cab and two rows of seats, also called a Doka, from German: Doppelkabine.
• Westfalia camping van, "Westy", with Westfalia roof and interior. Included optional "pop-up" top.
• Adventurewagen camping van, with high roof and camping units from Adventurewagen.
• Semi-camping van that can also still be used as a passenger car and transporter, sacrificing some camping comforts. "Multivan" or "Weekender", available from the third generation on.

Free 1980 DODGE SPORTSMAN RV

So we have this opportunity to get a free 1980 DODGE SPORTSMAN RV.

All we have to do is have it towed. We are talking with people to see what they think and who we know that would like to help/teach us how to do some of the repairs that are needed.

My wifey is talking to her father about it at my request because he is very knowledgeable but is now talking her ear off and I owe her big time.

Van Research - 1979 GMC Vandura

I am liking the idea of the raised top for the feel of it being roomier but it does take away the stealthiness if we are in between parks and need to do a Walmart stay or something to that effect.

Information overload!

Well hi again. I was up way too late watching video's and reading blogs. That didn't stop me from waking up and watching more videos as soon as I woke up.

Knowing that we are really going to be doing this with in a year is both exciting and hella scary.

After talks with my wifey and watching some of the videos together, I now have a better idea on what direction we are heading. Hopefully this will help me sort out my thoughts and ideas a little more.

I am hoping to do some videos but I dont have the best gear and am deciding if I should just wait until we start going out looking at vans or do I do some vlog type videos and record the research side to expand or explain what I put up on the blog.

Oh dear I just went and added more things to think about to my list.

Well, that isn't scary at all... I think we need to go through and see what is relatable to a van or what we want/need.

Planning Stage

Within a year my wife and I are hoping to be in a Van or an RV slightly bigger. The idea of becoming full-time van dwellers is rather exciting.

We have decided to blog our adventures and mishaps in hope to help others and find our way into the Nomadic community.
